Join the authors for an overview of their Climate Mitigation Roadmap, a strategic plan to reduce portfolio-wide carbon emissions by 80% in the nation's largest rental portfolio through building electrification and energy efficiency.
With the passing of 2019's Climate Mobilization Act, New York City's real estate sector has begun to address looming building emission limits set forth by Local Law 97. NYCHA, the City's public housing agency, is no different. In November, the agency unveiled its strategic roadmap for reducing operational greenhouse gas emissions to meet LL97 limits. The most ambitious effort in more than 25 years of energy conservation programs, NYCHA's new roadmap commits the agency to portfolio-wide electrification — the first such commitment among public housing authorities in the US.
Join the authors of NYCHA's Roadmap for an overview of the plan and the work currently underway to meet these ambitious targets. The three roadmap authors have written Sallan Snapshots, which we have linked to below.
