Clean Up On World Wetlands Day
Saturday, Feb 2, 2019
Join NYC Parks Stewardship to celebrate World Wetlands Day! Urban wetlands provide a variety of benefits including improved water quality + storm water retention. They also serve as critical habitat for native wildlife. Volunteer with us to help protect these important ecosystems on World Wetlands Day by removing debris from the shorelines of Calvert Vaux Park + Bush Terminal Park. Dress in clothes that can get dirty, close-toed shoes + warm layers + bring water bottles. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone. Space is limited and registration is required.
