Greening the Concrete Jungle: An Intro to Green Roofs
Monday, Jan 14, 2019
An estimated 40,000 acres of roof space sit atop New York's buildings -- so why is it that less than 1% incorporate greenery? Combining common practices with emerging technologies + recent incentives from the City, we now have the resources to far exceed that tiny 1% + help solve key challenges related to NYC' food, water, energy + biodiversity
In our newest rendition of this class, we will examine a range of practical green roof topics. You'll leave the class with a true understanding of the potential that green roofs can play in transforming our cities, and some tangible suggestions for where to turn next.
