Solar Uptown Now

Thursday, Sep 28, 2017

To grow solar in northern Manhattan, WE ACT has launched Solar Uptown Now, a campaign to bring community members together to purchase solar as a group. The Solar Uptown Now model helps customers choose a solar installer that offers competitive, transparent pricing. Purchasing solar as a group helps to bring down the cost of solar installation for all participants.

Our partners Solar One, the Urban Homesteading Assistance Board, and Sustainable CUNY, are helping to facilitate the installation of at least 150 kW of new solar power on low to moderate income multifamily affordable housing units and HDFC co-op buildings in Northern Manhattan. To see if your building qualifies, please visit Solaruptown
