The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is home to more than 400,000 New Yorkers + is the nation’s oldest + largest public housing authority. NYCHA plans to improve the quality of its interior + exterior spaces by launching its Design Excellence initiative as part of its 10-year strategic plan. The initiative's new publication, Design Guidelines for Rehabilitation of NYCHA Residential Buildings, outlines principles that guide the creation of safe, clean + connected communities.
