Around Town
Passive Buildings, Active Money
Friday, Mar 4, 2016
While there are multiple venues for designers and constructors to learn about the physical components of Passive House projects, less information is available about the financing option available for projects pursuing massive reductions in energy use. BEEx has gathered a panel of deep experience financing projects to learn about their interactions with private lenders, the role of financial incentives in supporting these innovative projects.
Topics to be addressed include: Is the financing of Passive House projects structured differently? Do underwriters account for deep reductions in operating costs in appraisals of asset value? How should anticipated performance be validated, and what is the role of certifications in these appraisals?
