Visit R-951

Saturday, Feb 7, 2015

The solar-powered R-951 apartment building in is the first Passive House certified and Net-Zero capable buildings to be completed in New York City. This means it offers each homeowner the possibility of living without external power costs. It achieves this with a rooftop solar system that provides each apartment with 4 kW of grid-tied electricity, enough for virtually all the heating, cooling and appliances (there is even an outlet for daytime backup power during a utility outage). Stop by the Open House, watch a film & learn all about it

Date: Saturday, February 7, 2-6 pm [Snow date: Sunday February 8]
