How Will A Carbon Tax Change Our Lives

Friday, Nov 1, 2013

How will a carbon tax change Americans' attitudes and practices about energy, consumption and the natural world?

Proponents of a robustly rising carbon tax are confident it will spark widespread changes in energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies to "decarbonize" the economy. Rarely, however, do we consider whether taxing fossil fuels could alter our deep-seated beliefs about resources, communities and our common humanity

Sponsors: Carbon Tax Center & the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation

Speakers: Denis Hayes, Elizabeth Yeampierre, Juliet Schor, and Tim DeChristopher.

Moderator: Charles Komanoff

Location: Rauschenberg Foundation Project Space, 455 West 19 Street

Date: Friday, November 1, 6:00-8 pm. Event is free, seating on a first-come, first-serve basis
