Transit Museum exhibit examines how power makes the subway move — opened on 29 Oct. and runs thru 30 Dec. Learn about the complexities of how the subway cars are powered, from power generation to making the trains move.

IT'S ELECTRIC! Electricity, New York Transit Museum, Boerum Pl at Schermerhorn St, Downtown Brooklyn (718-694-1600, mta.info/mta/museum). Tue-Fri 10am-4pm; Sat, Sun noon-5pm. $6, seniors and children 3-17 $4. Opens Oct 29.
