Salon: Green Building And PlaNYC 2.0

Thursday, Jul 14, 2011

Attend the Salon: Green Building and PlaNYC2.0 -- the first major revision of one of the most ambitious blueprints for urban growth ever produced by an American city. This landmark update deals, like the first PlaNYC, with a huge variety of issues, from affordable housing, to water and waste management, to energy and climate change mitigation. You are probably aware of those Urban Green Council initiatives that are direct outgrowths of PlaNYC, like the Green Codes Task Force and our Greener, Greater Buildings Plan outreach campaign. In addition to listing the implementation of these measures, PlaNYC 2.0 clearly identifies green buildings as a critical component of the plan's success in reducing the environmental impact of our city.

Speaker: Laurie Kerr, Senior Policy Advisor - Mayor's Office of Long Term Planning and Sustainability

Sponsor: Urban Green Council

Date: July 14th, 6:00-8:00 pm

Location: Knoll, 76 Ninth Avenue, 11th Floor
