Pollinators And Food

Saturday, Jun 25, 2011

Come on out for the Solar One 2nd Annual Family Day, Pollinators and Food. Expect a visit from NYC Beekeeping who are bringing their Observation Hive (don't worry- you won't get stung!) and some extra special activities to help us all understand the lives of pollinators and how they do the amazing work they do. We'll also be making electricity-free ice cream using fruits and plants from Stuyvesant Cove Park, making pollinator masks, costumes and puppets, doing some painting, drawing and coloring, and celebrating the small creatures that help create some of our favorite foods!

Date: Saturday, June 25, 10 am - 2 pm

Location: Solar One, 23rd Street@The East River

RSVP: Daisy@Solar1.org or Dina@Solar1.org
