Governors joined business, labor and environmental leaders at the Apollo Energy Independence Summit for Clean Energy and Good Jobs.

The Apollo Alliance held a national summit bringing governors and senators together with business, labor, community and environmental leaders to discuss the movement for clean energy and good jobs. The summit ran from Sunday, Feb. 25 to Tuesday, Feb. 27 at the Hotel Washington.

The summit was designed to create a strategy to promote clean energy solutions that create good jobs in America. Participants, including Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., Gov. Deval Patrick, D-Mass., Gov. Ed Rendell, D-Pa., and Gov. Bill Ritter, D-Colo., hope to use the summit to replicate successful local and state efforts to create clean energy jobs and climate solutions at the national level.

Nancy Anderson, Executive Director of Sallan, stood in for Ed Ott, Executive Director of the NYCCLC, on the panel for High Performance Buildings & Job Creation which took place February 26, 2007.
