Enclosures & Energy: What's Working?

For all you green building techies, Dr. John Straube will outline strategies for energy load reduction through material choices, building configuration, and enclosure design; describe the systems approach to buildings, balancing efficient planning and enclosures with mechanical systems and renewable energy sources of appropriate technology; investigate why double skin curtain walls and LEED have in the past conspired to produce polluting and expensive buildings; summarize some simple strategies and introduce reliable technologies for energy efficient, durable, and affordable buildings.
