Don't Just Stand There

Start planning now. Join thousands of other volunteers in the 21st Annual International Coastal Cleanup. Coordinated by the American Littoral Society, the 2006 cleanup will target the beaches of New York State. Locations will include Long Island Sound, the Hudson River, Atlantic Ocean beaches, as well as the coasts of the Great Lakes, the Finger Lakes and creeks and bays. In 2005, 9,000 volunteers picked up and documented over 155,680 pounds of debris at 329 sites.
