Lessons Form the Field: East New York

Visit lush community gardens, glimpse reminders of East New York's agricultual past and visit the Farmers' Market. ENY Farms!, an urban agricultural program that manages the East New York Farmers' Markets, provides techncial assistance to community gardeners involved in the market and trains young interns to manage their own gardens and run their own farmstands.

Date: August 5, 2006, 11 am

Location: Meet outside the New Lots Avenue subway station @ Livonia Avenue. Take the #3 train to the last stop and meet tour coordinator Salima Jones-Daley.
