An Energy Technology Seminar for NYC Residential & Commercial Buildings
Organizer: Pratt Center for Community Development with support from NYSERDA and Con Edison
Case study presentations by New York City building owners, contractors, and business principals highlighting experience in implementing energy efficiency technologies into their projects. NYSERDA staff and consultants will discuss the financial and technical assistance programs that can help make energy conservation and the use of renewable energy a feasible element of your next project.
An early-morning session will introduce small home builders to NYSERDA's Building Performance Institute (BPI) that provides an opportunity to learn from the energy pros. The BPI program offers contractors discounted training and equipment for home performance improvement work that will payoff in added revenues from home analyses and energy-focused projects.
Speakers include: Carlton Brown, Principal and Chief Operating Officer of Full Spectrum New York, one of the region's most progressive developers, and Colin Cathcart of Kiss + Cathcart Architects, world leaders in the integration of solar/photovoltaic technology into projects of architecturally, economically, and ecologically sound design.
Breakout sessions will be tailored to the specific interests of small home, multi-family, and commercial/industrial builders and users.
The full program is free but you must register. For more information contact Preston Johnson, 718-399-4416
