Not Your Grandma's Infrastructure
Power For The People
As the page turns to a new era in City Hall, the question before us is, what should be the future of NYC's energy infrastructure? Innovative ideas and actions must not be relegated to later-for-that status. We know we need new means to power the city.
Could we, should we, foster a meshwork of distributed generation technologies, such as rooftop PV, microgrids and combined heat and power systems?
Yes, because they will be better ways to keep NYC safe and operating 24/7, while we become a climate-friendly, climate-secure city. Yes, because New Yorkers are starting to demand them.
