Clearing Carbon: Can The Markets Do It? Event Pictures

November 09, 2006

Can markets make a significant dent in the world's carbon dioxide emissions to avoid unprecedented global climate changes? Our 2005 panel explored climate change initiatives and policies designed to shift the energy economy away from carbon-based fuels. Since then, science has made it clear that the planet already shows signs of heat distress and that we have no time to waste. Now, our 2006 panel on CO2 markets will examine the European experience and the developing Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiatve cap and trade program in the northeast US.
